The demands of military life, with deployments and irregular schedules, can make school complex. In addition to traditional campus classes, GCU offers flexible online and evening degree programs to help you enhance skills and gain a competitive edge in military and civilian markets. Military students (Active Duty, Active Reserve and Active Guard) with TA are eligible for a special military cost per credit hour in our GCU online and evening programs. This rate also applies to spouses of active service members. In addition, GCU waives the Learning Management System Fee and Canyon Connect Fee for these students, including spouses.
GCU is proud to serve the military community as a military-friendly institution. We follow the American Council on Education guidelines when determining transferability. GCU provides a free pre-evaluation of the service member's Joint Service Transcript. We also provide a free pre-evaluation of Air University credits for Air Force service members.
GCU is also a Yellow Ribbon school. This program allows institutions of higher learning in the U.S. to voluntarily enter into an agreement with the VA to help fund tuition expenses for veterans. As a Yellow Ribbon college, we are proud to support this initiative to help make education more affordable for our veterans.

Transfer credits from another university or the military to help you earn your degree. Complete 25 percent or more of your degree requirements with GCU to uphold our residency requirement (30 percent for online programs).
