Since 1984, we have delivered on our promise to provide assistance to graduates of our educator and administrator preparation programs during their first year of teaching or leading in schools, at no expense. We continue to honor this pledge and hope to support you in your development as an outstanding educator.
GCU offers online programs leading to initial licensure for teaching and/or administration. Such programs provide institutional recommendation (IR), which recognizes graduates as "eligible for a credential" or initial certification in their area of study. If seeking licensure or certification, applicants to the program are responsible for contacting their state department of education for licensure requirements and program approval. In addition, fingerprint and background clearance is required.
The College of Education aligns its curriculum with components required for teacher candidate testing. The curriculum that you study in your courses along with clinical practices all work together to help prepare you for your state-required teacher certification exam(s).

This scholarship cannot be used in conjunction with any other GCU scholarships. This scholarship will be applied toward your tuition only, and you will not receive funds in excess of your charges.
